Cookie policy

What this website stores in your browser, why it does so and how you can change your choice. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This is an English translation provided for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage and session storage, serve the same purpose. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.

Cookies can be necessary, when the website needs them to work; preference cookies, when they remember options you choose; or analytics and advertising cookies, when they measure your browsing or show you ads.

2. What this website uses

This website belongs to Olaya Law Firm and only stores the following data in your browser. None of it is sent to the Firm or to third parties, and none of it identifies you.

NameTypePurposeDuration
olf-consent Necessary
Local storage
Saves your choice in the cookie notice so we do not ask you again on every visit. 12 months
olf-intro Necessary
Session storage
Prevents the opening animation from repeating while you browse the website. Until you close the browser
olf-lang Preference
Local storage
Remembers the language you chose, Spanish or English. It is only stored if you click “Accept”. Until you delete it or change your choice

Necessary cookies do not require your consent because without them the website does not work as it should. The preference cookie is only stored if you accept it.

3. What we do not use

  • We do not use analytics cookies: we do not measure or record your browsing.
  • We do not use advertising or social media cookies.
  • We do not load third-party content that sets cookies when you open the website. Our fonts are served from our own domain, and the map in the contact section is our own image made with OpenStreetMap data, not an embedded Google map.

If we add analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before enabling them.

4. Third-party services

Some buttons on the website take you to third-party services such as WhatsApp and Google Maps. When you open them, you leave this website and those services apply their own cookie and privacy policies.

When you send the contact form, an email from the box on the website or your details from the WhatsApp button, the information is transmitted to Formspree, the provider that forwards it to our email. This website does not load any Formspree code or set any Formspree cookies. How that data is processed is explained in our Privacy Policy.

5. How to change your choice

You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the home page, or right here.

You can also delete the stored data from your browser settings. Look for “Clear browsing data” or “Website data” in Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge. If you delete it, the website will show you the notice again on your next visit.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the way the website works changes. We will publish the version in force here with its date of last update.
